Critique time? From one welder to another, some of that looks super sketchy. It looks like you have a miller 180 or 211 in the background given the 220v plug you have? I'm more of a TIG guy but I'd expect that Miller to do some decent looking welds. What's with the weird caster setup on the engine stand? None of the 4 casters appear to be loaded correctly. There's also a bunch of droop on the engine stand and I can't imagine safely rotating it on the shaft like you should be able to do with a good engine stand setup. What's with all the vice grips on the stand? Also the rolling stand setup is placed on the wrong jack points both front and rear. To safely roll around, each stand should really be bolted or welded to the base to prevent tipping. Paver blocks are a fairly unsafe method of supporting a lifted vehicle as they can split. I know many hack mechanics clamp brake lines with vise grips like shown however it does crush the braid and weaken the hose.

But kudos to you for actually getting your hands dirty and doing major stuff at home in a small garage. It's becoming increasingly uncommon to see home mechanics at work. I've done far far sketchier stuff when I was first starting so great job overall!

Thanks for the critiques. None of the pavers have any load on them and now the car has been positioned to where I need it, the jack stands will go back on solid ground. All the pavers are there just in case and I get it that they will crumble if used to support a vehicle. Yeah the castors are held by sketchy looking hardware but it’s grade 8 and there are 16 of em, haha. The sag is concerning and the vise grips are just there for additional support.

The vise grips on the brake lines haha, yeah. I’ll be buying new brake lines yes.
