Default Identify this nose and lip?

In process of purchasing a 1986 Turbo.
Anyone identify the nose with the horizontal hole just below Porsche crest and the lip?

Isn't that the 924 vented nose panel? I have one sitting in my basement right now from my RAGE2 car. It is metal not fiberglass.

No, not really like the 924 panel. Just aftermarket.

fyi that is not a 931 nose panel and regardless a 931 nose panel won’t fit a 951. If your panel is metal it was likely fabricated afterwards to make it vented, nice work btw looks factory.

I wouldn’t vent that area ever. If you want the intercooler to cool then don’t install that panel. A LR stage five panel will capture air and not vent it like that one will. Think air pressure difference. If you want to really improve the air flow thru the intercooler place a heat vent on the front of the hood behind the intercooler.

When using a vented panel, it should be coupled with some self fabricated ducting.

Similar to Grushy's altered steel one.

Some kind of hood vent that allows exit air to flow over the windshield/roof as the factory intended is always a good idea.

It would appear that the 931 nose style vents were used. Depends on how one configures them I think.
