968 door handle group buy!
 

Hello,

I have tried to swing a group buy for the 968 door handles for 85.5+ cars. I have got a price of $194.64 + shipping from Jeff at Sunset. This is 10% above cost! But can only get it if we have 5 or more orders. John D, let me know if there is an issue in posting this, I am not sure if there is a procedure in organising group buys. So guys who is in??? I told Jeff 2 weeks should be enough time, then at that time he can place one order for the lot, saving on shipping cost to him, then he ships them to us. Cool.

It would be a good idea to PM John D. as I think he likes to know (authorize) group buys before they are posted. Hate to see it disappear.

He responded to me almost immediately.

I would be interested more in the mirrors, or a mirror + handle GB

I have messaged John D. I also contacted Jeff to get an option for handles and mirrors only and a combo price. As this information comes to light, I will post it, in the mean time get your pennies together and once all the options are finalised, I will notify Jeff of the people in the group buy and the ordering process can begin. Sweet!

OMG you have an NA engine in an 86 Turbo?

When you buy door handles from Porsche, do they come in primer or in colors or what?

If we can swing a good deal and door handles AND mirrors, I'd be in 100%.

Tom - It's safe to say they come in thier plastic form straight from the mould.

You need to shoot a layer of primer. Sand it. Primer again. Sand it. Sand it. Paint it. Sand. paint. Sand. Sand. paint clear coat. polish. etc :)

It's really not a big deal but it's SOOO satisfying to get a smooth mirror like finish that's better than anything that ever came from the factory!

Did this upgrd last year. They come primered ready to paint.
