Default Head Gasket - Replace Head Studs Too?

Are new head studs required every time the head gasket is replaced?

Not so long as they haven't been over torqued at some point. Have replaced plenty of head gaskets, have never replaced a head stud.

turbo. I figure if they don’t appear corroded and as long as I feel an increase in resistance throughout the torque sequencing I should be fine reusing.

is it 2 or 3 90 degree final turns? Read 2 then read later it’s 3 now...

how would one know if they’ve ever been over torqued? Visible necking?

You can't measure their length without removing them and once you've removed them you might as well put in new ones. I'd say to change them if you are chasing recurring head gasket failures (or planning for tons of boost/hp), but not if you are just changing a gasket after a long happy life. Pretty sure the torque specs are in clarks-garage and in my write-up in the link below.
Oops wrong log-in. I meant this link below....
