Default Relocating grounding wires 1983 944

I'm wondering what the two brown wires are?

one is dme?

is it ok that I relocated them to the same spot on the left with the new cable attached?

it's an 83
wanted to change the grounding cable from the top of Engine but can't get the bolt off may be stripped

It's a good idea to keep 12V and 5V grounds separate.

You would be moving them, if I understand the photo, from a ground point on the chassis to one on the engine. As long as the engine is otherwise well grounded (connected to the chassis), you should be fine.

Yes, the factory kept the 12V "power grounds" and 5V "signal grounds" separate to avoid signal interference issues from electrically noisy devices like fuel injectors, ICV, etc.
