Default Stock Fuel Rail Regulator Adapter

Is there such a thing? I want to use an aftermarket regulator with the stock fuel rail. What I am hoping to do is adapt the outlet of the fuel rail where the old regulator bolted to a -6AN fitting.

I've found a couple of things close to what I am looking for but I have yet to find anything with the correct size to seal inside the outlet

I am willing to modify the bracket the old bosch regulator mounted to, to make something work.

The adapter I have that is too big

The fuel rail return outlet that I need an adapter to fit into.

This dimension isn't as important as the bracket can be modified although it would be nice to find something that bolted right in.

Drill out a stock FPR and use it as an adapter?

That's an idea but I would have to use a hose clamp and that would then be on the pressurized side with the regulator drilled out. It would most likely be ok but it would be nice to have a threaded solution. I may have a found a solution.

I was hoping to use a regulator I already I have. Thank you for the suggestion though. That may be what I fall back onto if I can't get this to work.

They switched to threaded FPR's in '89 an onward. I guess you'd need to braze shut or otherwise cap the vacuum line too thinking about it (assuming you gut the canister). Maybe best to have a machine shop just make an adapter -- or model it in CAD and CNC it -- it would just be a tube with o-ring groove on one end, threads on the other, and a bracket tacked on to hold it to the rail.

I think I found just what I need, it's ordered and should be here shortly. It's a fuel injector extension that is 25.5mm long and a fuel rail adaptor bracket similar to the one I have in the picture just an 11mm size. I was getting messed up with the sizes I didn't think 11mm would work but 11mm is the same size as our regulators, the addition of an O-ring will fill in the 14mm space it's inserted into.
