Default spring plate bushings

I'm in the process of upgrading my rear torsion bars to 28mm units to match my new 250lb. front springs (paired with new Konis all around) on my 87 951. Now that I have the bars removed, I can see that the original rubber bushings on the spring plates are deformed. So I'd like to replace them, but even the OEM style rubber bushings are a bit pricey at about $125. Delrin is an option at about $175, and finally Elephant Racing Poly-bronze bearings are $315. The car is gradually being set up for more track work, but will still be a street car and occasional daily. I'd rather not go through this job again (what a PITA!), so I'm trying to choose wisely. I have a reasonably high threshold of tolerance for stiff ride quality, especially if I feel like I'm achieving the handling and response I'm after. Any thoughts?

You won’t be disappointed with Elephant Racing Poly-bronze bearings and they do not affect nvh one bit. There are both upper and lower rubber mounts on the torsion bar carrier, leave those rubber if you don’t want to increase nvh. However there is also a rubber mount on the two “blades” that extend from the carrier, on those mounts it’s worth going solid wyit.

I've been pleased with my Elephant Racing "stock type" rubber bushings for almost 4 years now.

Thanks! I also found Rennline bushings, which seem harder than rubber. Are the Elephant Racing rubber bushings actually harder than stock?
