Funny, when I put my cap on, I just turn the bottom so it's facing left (towards passenger side), insert, and then 90deg counter-clockwise to point "down"? Anyway, thanks for the socket-bit tip. I've been using a stubby flat-head and it's hard to get leverage or push & turn!!

I guess they specified this design *before* deciding on the pop-up headlights lol
