How to properly delete trans cooler lines
Thinking of popping a turbo trans in my car but would like to delete the cooler. I understand some oem trannies came with cooler and some didn't.
How to do this properly?

If you just cup plug in out/in or thread plug those, the pump would still be making pressure that would just be dead headed all the time, damaging the pump and opening yourself up to a pressured leak until it failed due to resistance.

The cooler is part of the transmission. If you buy a 951 transmission without a cooler, you're all set.

Could you just install a hose or metal tube from the outlet back to the inlet eliminating the extra loops? Not super familiar with this setup but I'd imagine you could Fab something up in metal tubing that stays "neat" to the trans body....kind of like an extra large brake line formed to the trans body?

Thank you very much everyone for the great insights
Also Kevin Gross, you are a real gentleman with probably the country's leading knowledge on the subject... it was an honour to discuss these trannies with you over the phone. Mucho Gracias!

Well I should have titled this thread "how does the transmission cooler system work".
Honestly I didn't realize the hoses were the cooler. I thought they tied into a fin style exchanger like a mini radiator. Or maybe tied into the vehicle some other way, but fortunately Lart described to me they were the cooler.
Thank you for everyone's contributions though. I learnt!
