Is the nut on top suppose to fit like this? I feel like the nut should be narrower or not recessed into the hole so much. 1987 951 with Sachs Super struts and Weltmeister springs.

After some detective work I think I need to run some spacers and maybe a different top nut. Hmmmmm

Looks like the correct top nut but there should be an aluminum conical washer / spacer installed over the strut pin just below the nut.

I use Racer's Edge camber plates which came with these, I'm assuming you need something similar.

Edit: Although, the KLA Mount shows four washers suggesting one on each side of the bearing...you might reach out to them and see what they recommend.
