Trigger Wheel Setup
Hey guys, I need to put a crank nose trigger wheel and just looking for some pics and feedback from those who have used the Going Super Fast 6 inch wheel.
http://www.goingsuperfast.com/Trigger-wheels.html Does it fit under the stock belt covers? Has anyone modified the GSF sensor mount to work with an a/c delete? Also interested in any other custom trigger wheels that you guys have used. |

Cheers, yeah the Clewett does look nice, but its crazy expensive. And changing the flywheel is a job that I don't particularly feel like doing.

The Clewett is't half bad of a price IMO. The flywheel wouldn't be cheap either but i knew it was out there for the sake of the thread title. |
I can't find the sensor mount on the GSF website either, but this is it on ebay. Meant to attach to a/c tensioner, but because I have a/c delete the tensioner sits higher so I'm wondering if it will still fit with some modification.

Imo Micheal Mount does the most solid trigger set up (pic below), I may have a couple lying around gathering dust as I went to a 60-2 flywheel some time ago on both my cars. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...fb1d69e31.jpeg |

And I also want to keep my balance shafts. Hmmm...or maybe I should get a 60-2 flywheel, and upgrade my clutch while I'm in there. I doubt my stock clutch will hold the power/torque goals I have in mind anyway... Oh man, why do things always have to spiral out of control like this, my poor wallet! |

That looks great...looks like you need to run without the belt covers though...and with balance shafts too?

Iirc the MM crank trigger set-up fits with or without balance shafts but it obviously doesn’t fit under the belt covers. I really cannot see any trigger wheel set-up fitting underneath those covers, the sensor would be exposed regardless. |
What is the pickup part in the triggers? A small piece of magnet on the wheels?

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...67b97ce86.jpeg On my previous picture (below) I’ve marked where it fits and it’s important that it’s mounted very securely. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...944c035c9.jpeg |
Ah.......missing tooth is what it does not see. Makes sense.

Try Wayne at The Power Group, Florida.
DTA FAST UK parts. They have weather pack sensor and bracket, wheel too. If you are willing to lose balance belt, I have bracket, sensor and pulley with wheel already welded in place. I had/have the stuff for sale over at Pelican, search same user name, there are pics there. T |
You can see their sensor bracket, sensor and wheel in this pic,
http://www.tpgproducts.com/photos/e48harness.jpg This is the same complete setup I had posted at Pelican, except pics don't show anymore in the thread. My ecu has a complete Porsche 944T specific plug and play harness, all connectors weatherpack that the linked pic doesn't show. USA support at The Power Group. http://www.tpgproducts.com/index.html T |
I see they have a pic of a 944 turbo engine on their web page. http://www.tpgproducts.com/services.html
