Default fuel injector installation question....

Hi guys, I'm near completion of my project. I'm re-installing my fuel injectors and have a quick question. So, the four injectors are installed on the fuel rail, as are the wiring to them. When carefully guiding each injector into their respective "holes", is there suppose to be a soft "give" indicating the injectors landed and bedded into their final resting point or is there no indication they have bedded and just tighten down the four bolts to the fuel rail???

thanks in advance

Jaime

You can push them down slightly, newer seals are a tight fit. Not too firm, the screws will set them.
Pressurize the system once things are back together by jumping the DME fuel relay and watch for leaks. Double check at first start too. You'll be fine.

I had much better luck—and confidence in—popping the injectors into the manifold first then the rail on top. Using adjustable pliers, I gently pulled the injectors back into the rail just enough to slide that holder bracket thing on.

Dunno if that’s correct, but sure felt right and no leaks
