Default Mysterious liquid

Popped the hood and noticed this liquid in a fold on the block. It appears dry above it. Where is it coming from? I’ve seen this before last year.

Touching it with a paper towel reveals an oil, not coolant. Que pasa?

Yep, coolant. Have you bled your coolant system recently?

Yes! I have totally bled it lately. Leakimg down from the bleed screw location and collecting in that fold.

Of course. Thank you

I’m writing a procedure on it. As an alternative to the pricey VW7000, it will include fabricating a special tool locally to reach into the spot with specific collection material that has proper absorbtion character yet doesn’t mar the finish.

I had the exact same issues on my car when I bought it 15 years ago. Mine was oil and it was the oil feed line for the turbo. The crush rings went bad. I fixed it and have never had oil there since, going on 15 years for this repair.
