Those CCW’s are going to stick out about 1.5in at the rear and be 1in closer to the rear suspension. They won’t stick out much more on the front but they will be about 1.5in closer to the front suspension, so get a tape measure out and see if there is clearance there. Also those CCW’s with tires will be considerable heavier than your Fuchs so you might want to also think about upgrading your suspension.

Thats a great start but if you are in the market for new struts and wheels you should also consider going to a late offset front set up and upgrade to 87+ turbo front hubs and spindles. The 86 turbo set up is considerably weaker and the rotors are an awkward fitment much improved in 87. You will have to fit the late control arms and steering arms also but you can leave the rears alone and therefore retain the deep lip of the 86 cars.

You can get away with fitting the stronger late hubs and spindles on an 86 while retaining its early offset control and steering arms, you will need camber plates to give you back some of the camber you lose from mixing the offsets but it seems you have that coveted already. I drove mine like that for a few years until I started to use it more on the track. If you need your full camber range back it’s best to do a full conversion to late offset at the front only and that means late control and steering arms. Like I said, while you are in the market for struts and wheels anyway, it’s a good opportunity to upgrade to a better spec wyit, not essential but definitely desirable imo.
