Default Rouge A-tune MAP sensor install issue

Hello Rennlist,

I am having an issue with installing my MAP sensor in my rogue A-tune kit. When I measure the voltage of the MAP harnesses green wire I get .63V it should be around 1.6V. It is noted to vary with elevation but I’m only at 630 feet... I saw a post with Rouge ant from a few years back that said at 1000 feet it should be 1v. Does anyone know if my .063V is correct or if I have an error in my install? I explain my situation better in this video, please read the description as I fumbled my words and said something wrong that I corrected in the description. Thank you for all your help! Stay safe

ya, I don't think so... Rennlist says he was last active in 2018.

I sent a link to this thread to linsey racing asking them to forward it to Rouge ant so maybe he will see it...fingers crossed

Lindsey now sells and supports the m-tune, so maybe reach out to them. Are you sure you have a 5 volt MAP sensor. The basic GM sensor is available in versions that require a 12 volt supply. If that's what you have, somehow, your reading would be off (or dead?), and I'm wondering if it's just a coincidence that your output voltage is very close to 5/12ths of what it should be?

Edit: just watched the video Are you sure that's even .63v? It says Auto Range so I would think it is reading what it says, i.e., .063v or basically nothing. Do you have both good power and ground wires hooked up to the red/black wires when you are testing the green wire, and do you have the black meter probe also connected to the same ground? To me it looks like it may be more of a multimeter/testing issue.... ?

Did you cut the leg off of the one resistor in the DME?

You have to measure with the line plugged into the MAP sensor (thin back-probe tool required)

I did cut out the resistor, thanks for the suggestion

hm, so your saying I'm measuring the voltage incorrectly?

Would you suggest that I plug the Rouge harness back into the MAP sensor, then tap into the green wire in order to measure the voltage? Not sure what the "thin back-probe tool" is but this idea could definitely have feet!

Thanks a lot.

I added a short video to clarify if this is what Dan was suggesting I should do.

Yes.. plug it into the MAP sensor and do your testing by "back probing". See video (start at 1:20) & picture. You can get the probe tools on Amazon or local electronics supply

As someone else pointed out, you need the have the MAP sensor plugged in to be able to take it's measurements.

There is a wiring diagram on this page to insure that you have installed it correctly.

I have a question regarding the a/tune. Can one run larger injectors with it?

You're A-tune has to be programmed for the larger injectors.
