Basic 951 upgrade list
Hi All,
I am dong a basic rebuild on a 951 I just picked up. I have been doing some reading but I didn't see a 'list' or order I should do upgrades to. I know the NA 2.5 pretty well, but this is my first 944 turbo car. I just looking to make the car more fun. I do all my own work [except the cylinder boring].
I am installing new bearings and 100.5mm wossner pistons for the bottom end and the oil pickup of and baffle. Valve seat job for the head.
Now for the while its apart list... is there anything else I should do internal engine wise? I am going to upgrade the clutch while it is out
I figure I am going Fab up myself a bigger downpipe and maybe a DME chip upgrade. What else then? A MAF? If that's the case I think I do a megasquirt over that. The Intercooler seems to be a nice design. I don't really what to upgrade the turbo yet until I get it running well and get used to it.
