Thinking about how a wing is designed you might not want to install something that will make your car want to turn more into a wing especially if you don't use a splitter. I wouldn't think that using those would make it a good idea not to use a splitter. The more air over the car the lower the pressure will be, add the idea of more air under the car without a splitter creating high pressure and you might just have lift off.
