Default Is my spare CV valve shot?

Is it supposed to be 100% air tight between ports R and C/W? R is the return to intake, it is the only port that has solenoid. With solenoid closed I can blow some air through, let's say it is 90-95% tight but still some air can make it's way to other ports. Is it normal? I prefer to ask before throwing $110 for a new one. Funny thing is that particular one doesn't leak through electrical connections...

It is not shot. I posted a thread on replacing the seal on the unit. Take it apart. Clean it and replace the seal.

Here is the link:

The very last post number 28 is the size o-ring that I installed. Work perfect now and seals 100%

You misunderstood me - I'm talking about CV - cycling valve, not ISV - idle stabilizer valve. Stock boost control valve in other words. My first thought was to open it and check if it can be rebuild but it seems to be sealed unit...
BTW I used your post to rebuild my idle stabilizer earlier on - great write up, thank you.

Ah sorry. I completely forgot about that part. Have not used one in years.

Anybody has any experience or can check his spare CV?
On the other hand - does it really matter if it's only 95% tight? Correct me if I'm wrong here: it may affect vacuum slightly and theoretically prevent wastegate from opening fully when boosting or rather delay it. Am I right here or saying BS?
