PD 2.5L development engine for sale
We are about to start the refresh build on our little 2.5L development engine used by Patrick Garvan last year. We have not yet disassembled the engine so the extend of any repair work or replacement parts required at this time is unknown.
Our intention is to rebuild this engine as new with all required parts replaced and all parts refreshed as new.
This engine is designed to run above 8000 RPM and produced over 500WHP.
The block incorporates one of our closed decks, steel sleeves and a fully doweled girdle.
The crankshaft is one of our reworked stock lightened cranks with Carrillo rods and CP pistons. We will install a rebuilt Oil pump and one of trap door Oil pans if required.
The Cylinder head is worked with larger ports both sides, oversize valves with longer stems for use with the solid cam followers, and upgraded valve train parts. The camshaft is a PD design, bespoke to this engine. Patrick has included the Intake manifold that he used with this engine.
We would prefer to sell the engine complete as a race long block for either wet or dry oiling systems. We will consider selling the short block and cylinder head assy’s separately.
The cost to produce the same level of performance out of a 2.5L engine is extremely high. Will consider all fair and reasonable offers, either complete or as two part, assy’s. We will not sell individual components from this engine but will reproduce those parts.
