Default 618.2whp @ 17psi

EDIT: I just changed the psi figure as there was a bit of a difference between the dyno and the ECU. So I cut it in half.

First dyno session with the new motor. Had a bit of signal noise which needed to be filtered out but not too problematic. First pulls just ran off the 10lb 'gate spring. 480whp and then 505whp. Then put 13psi through and we saw 549whp. Lastly ran 16-17psi through it a few times and saw a max of 618.2whp. Didn't have time to play with cams. Looks like we achieved a nice torquey motor which is what was in the design brief with Performance Developments. They built the head to deal with 8800rpm but at this stage we limited it to 7500rpm. Our big event is on in a few days and we're happy with what we've got for now. I'm waiting on some charts. This is the only one I have at the moment. Nice curve for this big turbo.

Awesome, PD sent me a couple pics of my finished crank just today.

Congrats.

Are y'all gonna make the event you were shooting for...?

What did Neil recommend as a life cycle service interval in hours..?

I wonder how much power you will gain revving to 8.5k rpm

We're going to another track tomorrow for some shake down laps. So far it looks like we'll be at WTAC in a few days. For those who don't know what this event is, it's essentially fastest lap wins.
So like a 2 day qualifying session of sorts. Some mega builds with extreme Aero and Power.

Not sure on engine hours. These cars tend to do very limited running hours so we can run them for a while in terms of months/years as they do so few hours. Crazy bu$ine$$!!

Because we still have a manual transmission vs Sequential that many of our competitors have, we need a bit more low to mid range tq than they do. They also boost 2-3 times more than us, so very different beasts. For me, I have had the car off the road for such a large % of the time in the last 10 years that longevity is the ruling factor. We can wind the revs out but with the way the tq will drop off there may be not a huge gain. Also the gearbox being stock 968 with some extra cooling, isn't really designed to run at 8800rpm. Again, we can't compete if the car is on the lift.

Hopefully we won't have a ton of bugs to iron out. The crank signal issue may be how the Flywheel's teeth have been cut. Too late to change that so we just have to hope it doesn't rear it's head on the track. More charts to follow.

Nice work mate. At least you get to shake it down and see what it can do.

Here's a couple of charts. Dyno read 17psi but ECU only ever read 16psi. Take your pic. Early days but we're all very tempted to just sit on this tune maybe w/ minor revisions for now. Hope stock internal 6 speed is up to it.

Amazing.... It always impresses me that these 4 cylinder motors are capable of producing 600+ HP.

Good luck at the track Patrick.
