You should not.

You're talking FRONT wheels, right?

Might want to pull them off and see -- Are they the 951 part number Fuchs, or the 911 part number? That's weird.

Do you have stock 86 951 brake calipers.

As long as the wheels have the Porsche stylized P n the triangle and a part number beginning with 951, they should clear the calipers . If they are wheels from a 911, they might not clear the calipers.

Minor tweak, if they are from a 911 they Will not clear the 951 front calipers.

They all are part number 911.361.020.44, pulled from an SC. Didn't know there was a 951 part number. All 4 of mine are are 7" and I believe have a 23.3 ET. I know that the back wheels should be 8" but my question is would 7mm spacers work for all four corners? thanks for the replies and the assistance for the new guy!

Maybe, like my programming teacher used to say, try it and see what happens.

7mm spacers will indeed allow you to fit the 911 fuchs on your 86 951. But 7mm is right on the cusp of needing longer studs to get proper thread engagement on the wheel nuts.

I have run 7mm spacers with the stock studs, but I switched to steel lug nuts, and checked the torque frequently because it was not as much purchase as I would like.

perfect, thanks Ian and everyone for the info on this. I will look into 7mm spacers. Noted on the longer studs/ thread engagement issue, steel lug nuts sound like a good idea.

thanks again
