Default Gasket remnant stuck in wastegate inlet pipe

Any suggestions for getting the old gasket out without trashing the inlet pipe? I've poked, prodded, chiseled, and it won't budge.

A couple of mine were a huge pain. I drilled through it enough to weaken it and made a better spot to pry it out with. And some penetrating oil and heat.

I got it out with a small chisel/punch. Channel was undamaged.

In my efforts to get the old gasket out, it looks like I must have weakened the weld that attaches the square flange to the pipe.

Should I bother trying to weld it back on, or just try to get another one?

Apparently my inlet pipe must be an early '86, without the flared end. All the ones I've seen for sale are the later style with the flare. Great. I should not have expected this to be easy.

pick and a hammer and keep poking holes and trying to 'spin' it. The flange is pretty hard (its a stainless alloy) and you wont damage it.
Easy to weld it back on....,make sure they know its stainless!!

I just dropped it off at a shop (Midwest Eurosport). They said they can weld it without problem. Fingers crossed!
