Default Has anyone tuned injector timing?

This one is for folks running sequential fuel. Injector timing isn't really a critical tuning area, but I'm just curious. I was looking through some parameters in my tuning software and have never really messed with it - wondering if anyone has actually gone through the trouble of working out a good "base timing" figure as a starting point. I have something like 300* BTDC in my NA's tune but it doesn't really affect anything (basically timed batch fire, but with 2 squirts per injector per cycle).

What you will discover, depending on injector size and fuel use, that you are looking at a fairly large duty cycle for your injectors. My Motec is running at 320* BTDC

The bigger the injectors the bigger the effect. That is because smaller injectors are open too long to squirt during maximum velocity moment in the intake.
It is mostly useful with big injectors, to get better idle and emissions, with smaller ones you barely see any difference on the gauges, yet feel.

Thanks guys. 80# Deka injectors, which would give me a pulse width in the neighborhood of 3-8 ms at idle depending on ethanol content if I remember right. I've done tuning on a 'squirted 951 batch firing the same injectors on E85 and the idle was honestly as good as stock, if not better. Just may as well get it in the ballpark, after making the investment on putting the car together and throwing in a standalone.

I am running 80 lbs injectors with gas. At WOT they are basically fire hoses puddling on top of the intake valves.
