The 944 Cup Nationals is a one race head to head competition to determine the 944 Cup National Champion for each of the three 944 Cup classes.
The 2019 venues for the 944 Cup Nationals will be at Summit Point Motor Sports Park on September 20-21.
As happens every year, the 944 Cup Awards Ceremony takes place the after Saturday evening event dinner at the track during which thousands of dollars of prizes are given away and our Champions crowned for 2019.
After the first 36 hours of registration for 944 Cup Nationals 2019, 16 cars registered. That's a split start for the first sprint race on Saturday with the 2nd Saturday sprint racing being a 944 Cup only run group for the National Championship Runoff race.
Also for 2019, we will be introducing for the first time a custom keeper National Championship trophy for the SP1 champ designed by and produced by Lugcraft as a wood engraved skateboard deck !!!!!!
And of course there is also the perpetual 944 Cup National trophy that goes to the Champions of each class with the a name plate added for this year's Champ. The trophy reside with the 2019 Champs until next year.
This event is projected to be the largest PCA club race ever held at Summit Point.
So get out in front of Paddock parking at Nationals: Each registrant is entitled to a single paddock spot (most are approximately 55x20 paved or grass). Volunteer Paddock Marshal will try to honor the requests below, but not all requests will be accommodated. Racers will receive paddock map one-week prior to the event.

With 27 entries already the 944 Cup Nationals promises to offer some of the best 944 racing in the land. Still time to time and space to fit in a few more cars.
The 944 Cup classes, SP1, 2 and 3 will get a split start in the assigned run group for the first sprint race on Saturday. This is a regional points race for all 944 Cup chapters. The 2nd sprint race will be the Nationals Championship race and a double points regional race for all 944 Cup chapters and the 944 Cup classes will be given a 944 only run group. Regional Championships for all 4 of the 944 Cup chapters will be decided at Nationals for all 3 classes.
