FS: 1986 944 race car
Selling our Chump/AER 944 race car as our team has disbanded and we're doing other forms of racing. The car is well sorted and has been sitting for two years. It's time to move on and let another owner enjoy it. Asking $7K
Items it needs:
New rod bearings- have new ones in a box.
951 oil cooler installed- have a full setup with a new Setrab oil-cooler
Up to date safety belts, nets
Race seat
Car details:
It's a 1986 chassis, with 1986 951 front knuckles w/ turbo brakes front and rear, fully caged, fire suppression system, with Chump and AER log books. Comes with a spare 951 gearbox w/ oil cooler loop, spare 2.5 motor, and various spare parts.
Motor build specs from 2 years ago, should produce a solid 165hp- One DE day on motor for break-in. No race use.
Bored to 101mm and re-silicon/carbide impregnated. So it is a 2.55 Liter.
New 10.6:1 Woosner 101mm pistons.
Professionally built with all new seals, gaskets, bearings, rings, etc.
Has oil pickup modification for road racing.
New turbo valve springs.

Has forged 944 turbo connecting rods.

Corner balanced and aligned
I'm sure I'm missing some things and happy to discuss.

Still for sale, car is located in Baltimore.
Several questions about the interior. It will receive another coat of POR this weekend, will be a nice a tidy white interior.
