Glad you and Precision is a part of the series.
Big thanks to Ken Hills Photography who has stepped up to provide exclusive coverage of 944 Cup racing.
Ken has already agreed to be at the 944 Cup Nationals at Summit Point at the end of the year.

Watkins Glen 2019
Crazy results this past weekend at the Glen with rain in Sprint Race 1.
With a field of 47 cars in all PCA classes, Robbie Wilson takes his 2.5L normally aspirated SP2 Porsche 944 and logs in the overall fastest lap in the run group, beating SP 3 944 Super Cup Turbo's, S2's and 968's, plus each Spec Boxster and "E" Class 911! https://www.race-monitor.com/Results...ode=qualifying
Meanwhile Canadian Randy Smith, also in a 2.5L NA SP2 944 takes the win in class and also finishes ahead of ever other 944 Cup car, including 17 SP3 944 Turbos, S2, and 968 models.
The track goes dry on Sunday and Ed Dunne pulls much the same trick with the SP3 class win and overall best lap time, out pacing the Spec Boxsters and "E" Class 911's. Ed also won the Saturday SP3 class. Randy Smith, former 944 Cup National Champion, shows he is more than a wet track driver and handles the SP2 field with a blistering sub 2:13 lap!

The official results are here https://pcaclubracing.org/results/ There were a few changes from what was sent out via Race-Monitor.
Tire choice made a big difference: it was a mix of slicks and rains, depending on if you though thought the track would dry or not for race one and the enduro. Race one saw a pace car regroup the field after the track started to dry. Enduro was was wet most of the time. Race two was dry.
Randy and myself ran rains for race one and built a nice lead over most of the field. Robbie hung on with R7s, and Ed caught back up under double-yellow. When the track dried the guys on slick could put down better lap times. Ed got a one lap penalty for a pass under double-yellow, giving me the SP3 win. I ran A7s for the enduro and that was the wrong choice. Weather and track conditions were hard to predict. There was also a ton of traffic to deal with.

Reportedly, timing and scoring messed up the grid for the Enduro on Sunday at The Glen and put Ed Dunne in 51st (last) place to start instead of on the pole. Dunne has a dream drive in the wet and goes from last to first in an hour. A drive all racers dream about. Here is the first half of the race where Dunne does most of his passing. Go to the 4 minute mark for the Green flag and enjoy. Or, start at the beginning and watch just how many cars roll past Dunne as he ponders just how much work he has to do:
