I thought I might bring this to closure- the vibration is no longer an issue- the car was totalled on I-80 one afternoon. So I never did find out. I did buy the wreck for $1200- anyone need 944S parts?i am on a new project- a 1990 944S2 Cabrio.
Well, thought you might like to see the "after"! New top, new paint, tires, reupholstered interior, anything is possible with time and money! Especially money. And time. And money... Apart from paint, all work was done by yours truly,. The engine was in great shape, so some basic work done there (all belts, water pump, new head gasket seals, swapped exhaust, new mounts) and finally all front suspension rubber changed. I think it came out rather nice. Now onto an '87 Turbo found outside Minneapolis by my friend Jay.
