Hi experts!
auxiliary fan switch question.
I have an 83 model 944 with an A/C.
I've noticed that some of the auxiliary fan switches are sold for car with / without A/C. What is difference in the operation of the item and how do I recognize which one I have?

the switch is the same regardless of having AC or not.
in europe non-AC cars might have had a single radiator fan instead of dual fans but that's about the only difference (aside from the obvious lack of AC pump and under-dash equipment)

every thing you said makes sense. But why some thermo fan switches are described for cars without A/C?

They probably have different temp ranges. The cars with ac have the fan come on sooner to deal with the extra heat generated by the condenser. If you have ac, get the switch for an ac equipped car
