Default Need help indentifying hose

so I want to know the part number or whatever it is so that I can purchase a new radiator hose. I'm new to car parts so bare with me. The part in talking about is the one that has tape on it

Also for further reference how could I find this out myself. Also does anyone know if this ho is pressurized and whether or not I could put it on myself.

Go here:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg2.htm#item6

And look for part number 944-106-245-01-M253

Max pressure should be about 13-15psi depending on which radiator cap you have. You can put it on yourself but be prepared to collect leaking coolant/refill the water that came out.

This should come in handy for you in the future:

http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf...85_KATALOG.pdf

It can be a bit tough to navigate to begin with, but you can find part numbers for almost anything in the car in that pdf, and it's actually a legal copy straight from Porsche!

what about the clamps. They aren't on here? I have the old ones from the old hose so will that work? Are they really hard to put on properly?

http://www.clarks-garage.com/ Clark's Garage is a great site as well. It's got some helpful tips and write ups, I use it pretty often. Also, if you go to the "Garage Shop Manual" link, then scroll all the way down to the bottom, under Miscellaneous click on the "Parts-1982 to 1985" and its the parts book for your car. I have the later series parts book saved to my computer, I use it all the time. Also, you can definitely handle replacing the hose, you shouldn't have any problem. Good luck man!
