Is the transmission bolt pattern on the 944 engine and transmission identical?

Can I bolt the engine directly to the transmission to make a mid engine type installation?

Been a few years since I got rid of the "9" I had.

Any other Transmissions with a 944 bolt patter (upside down or other).

No the patterns are pretty different.
The trans has an old Audi pattern. 944 engine is a one off but supposedly similar to old vw
