Default Sneak peak of European Car magazine's 944 project cars

Hey guys,

The link below is an introduction for two project cars that European Car magazine is currently working on, including an S2.

Thought I'd pass it along... updates will be in both print and online.

doesn't seem to be much to look forward to if you are an S2 owner.

Even though you have about the top-of-the-line 944, you can make the car better by going to a standalone DME/ECM arrangement and get away from the limited Bosch electronics 25yr+ stuff. check out Megasquirt..A couple of listers on the std 944 group have done it very well. costs about the same as upgraded Bosch electronics from Rogue Ant.

I've got the DIYAutotune PNP S/S2 microsquirt. If your entire goal is to just replace the DME, I think it's a good option for the price. But to add modern developments like sequential injection and COP ignition, you'd be better off with a megasquirt box.
