Hi guys. I am about to give up. My 87 44 just turned off while driving a few days ago. I checked and there is no power going to the fuel pump. I have checked and i even bought a new DEE relay. The fuse is good too. WHat next? I dont want to pay a shop again MAN!!!! Thanx a lot

Fix the wiring between the output pin of the relay connector and the fuel pump. You can use switchable power from the rear lights to confirm the wiring fault. Just make a jumper from the rear lights + line to the + side of the pump. See if it runs.

One important question that I forgot to ask. Do you have an immobilzer installed in this 944. It will be an after market system. If this system fails it will take out the earth for the DME relay and denies the fuel pump of power.

PS: This problem is not uncommon either.

this happened to me too...i was driving my 86 944 and the engine slowley died while i was moving...when i stopped...i kept trying to start it but it wouldn't start...finally i got it towed and fixed...it ended up being my Fuel Regulator which was kind of expensive.
