Post SLoppy shift ****. HELP!

Ok I am having some difficulty with the shifter in my car. It seems very loose and very sloppy what can I do to attempt and correct this. I am told that there is a kit that will tighten thing back up? Is there one? Suggestions?

Also I was told that there is some kind of shift linkage that should be changed on the tranny is there? SuggestionsThanks for the advice in advance.

The pin on the lever, that attaches to the linkage wears out over time.

You can replace it, or get a custom short shift kit (there's many of them outhere, Kokeln racing has one, automotion/performance products also has one if I recall correctly). You can do what I did, and drill through it, and place a bolt in place of it. Might take some work to find the right size bolt but it's free. I also cut mine, (on both of my cars) I can try to get you a picture of it if you want (but won't happen today or tomorrow).

Hope this helps,
Ahmet
