Post Does any one know the answer to this question?

Does anyone know if the rear wheel wells on the 944 any year where black or the same color as the body. I am considering a rust coat to protest the wells from rust and to reduce road noise..

also are there any suggestions for rust coating other than spending 500 bucks at a shop?

I believe the inside of the wheel wells is the same color as the outside of the fenders but it does get covered by undercoating.

rear wheel wells are sheet metal body parts, same color as the rest (when new).
Rust protection will make it black.
Yours are black? You have some sort of coating that is applied later (not OEM) then.
Take Care
