Header install
I received my ceramic coated header from MSDS last week and really want to have it installed ASAP. I have an oil leak (or 2) and cannot afford to have them repaired right now (rear seal). Will any oil that leaks on the header (if any) ruin the coating (functionability or aesthetically)? Will the header turn a darker shade anyway with use? Am I worried about nothing?
Thanks for any info?

I race a Formula Vee which has ceramic coated headers, and have had a few instances where I puked some oil (Mobile 1) out the valve covers and onto the headers. It does not come off well ... depending how close to the head/header connection the oil fell on to. The closer to the flange (lots of heat), the harder it is to clean up. After about 8 years (maybe 60 races) they're starting to look ... ah ... not too shiney .
