Hey all, need some help on this one.

I installed my new ( used ) fuel sender in my 1989 944 S2. When I reached
into my gas tank to "feel" things out there is a something floating around
in my tank. the object is flat...with a hole in the middle. It was too big
to pull up through the fuel sender opening.

Anyone know what the heck this is?? Is this the Baffol that the sender is
suppose to slide into....Help.
