Question early 944

I have the option to buy an early 944 for really cheap. I already have a 86 944 and wondering if it is worth the trouble. I think what is wrong with the car is that a timing belt broke and needs to have the head worked over and put back on, which isn't that bad of a deal I have had worse. It also needs a paint job and some minor cosmetic details. Is it worth it to go ahead and get the car and fix it?

Totally depends on the price and how much you are willing to spend on it.

Yesterday i missed another 1983 944 for 800 bucks, my dad called 1 hour too late and the guy let it go for 400 bucks. It had a good running motor, only messed up fenders/hood

Well I think I am going to pick up the car I am only paying 300 for so I think it is a good deal. All I really think it needs is a head job and paint. Plus it would beat using the cavalier as a daily driver. Anything I should look out for when doing the head job? Thanks for talking me into it.

You can fix and resell, or part it out......the car is worth at least that much in parts.
