Question Whiring sound/idle lash

I'm considering buying a 1988 944 STD Coupe.
This car makes a distinctive whiring sound from under the belt-train housing - and becomes quieter when warmed up.

The idle also swings low (below 900 RPM) after being wound up between traffic lights but always comes back up to spec. The A/C also burdens the engine enough to pull down idle (again below 900)-
shouldn't the fuel injection/ignition systems conpensate for A/C load? Any ideas?

Sounds pretty normal to me. My 83 does all of that and then some. The belt sound is more than likely the balance shaft belt....it may be too tight.
