Replaced rack and pinion
Ok I have replaced my rack and pinion with a rebuild one. It works and all but my problem is this...
The new rack did not come with the little rubber screw that goes in the view port on the bottom of the rack. Mine was so old and decayed that is just broke right off.
Porsche does not sell them seperately. Anyone know the thread size, head size, etc. for that little hole?
Any other ideas? Right now I have duct tape covering it up. <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" />
Thanks,
David <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

I do not know the thread size but it is easy enough to find out. Get a small metric tap set and CARFULY thread the hole till you find the correct fit. Just a suggestion <img src="graemlins/icon107.gif" border="0" alt="[icon107]" />
