Hey everyone i just started working on a !983 porsche 944, i got it running after it sat for about 4 or 5 years, it will start and idle fine, but when i give it gas in neutral or in gear it will bog out and not go any higher than 1500 rpm, sometimes 2000. i have checked fuel, the injectors are firing fine, and the pump is working well, i replaced the spark plugs, and wires.... i don't know what it could be, from what I'm reading i am thinking vacuum leak, throttle body positioning sensor...

please hit me with some options on what to check and test! ask questions if it helps eliminate some of the problems! thanks for the help! s

Maybe try taking a look at you AFM.

Check Clark's Garage on AFMs. Sounds like yours has a 'groove'.
