want to delete factory(coolant)oil cooler
just wondering what my options are. my car is a 87. and I like to install a front mount air oil cooler

Have you looked at the S2 oil cooler options? The S2 3liter has an external cooler - different from the 2.5s. Might be able to use an S2 oil cooler set up to replace the 2.5 integrated cooler.
