Steve - I picked up a rebuilt compressor and dryer from AutoZone for a very reasonable price. Its been in there a year and a half and no problems at all with it.

Was the AC compressor from AutoZone for the old AC coolant or the new AC coolant (I forget the number designation).

In the mean time, I've converted my AC to the new coolant, but found out when the system was pressurized that it all came out of the AC compressor.

The compressor was for 134A since my car has been upgraded to the new standard.

The AC system will be a must-do next year...wife is starting to complain and I must admit...that while I hate to spend the money on something that's not either performance related or astheticly tasteful...I would not mind AC in the dog days of summer !
