Default please help!

ok here it is. i took on a side job putting a clutch in a 944 n/a. i replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, slave and master cylinder and still cant get the clutch to disengage. i have about 3/4 inch of travel through the peep hole in the bellhousing. i didnt know this at first but i didnt need to replace the clutch, the clutch fork shaft fell out of place because the bolt fell out making the fork fall out of place and grind against the pressure plate. this resulted in some wear on the pressure plate side of the fork. i dont know if thats the reason why its not disengaging. the other thing is the new clutch came with 3 shimms and a snap ring for the throwout bearing i only put in two because the old one only had two shimms, could that be my problem? im totally out of solutions and really am dredding ripping this apart again!
