agreed, thanks for posting.
My cab has always had a heater which started working almost immediately. It now takes at least several minutes for hot air to come out of the vents. Any ideas on this?

if you listen carefully you can hear the actuators working to open/close the heater valve when you adjust the temp. fi theres no problem there, then wonder if you have a semi clogged heater core. its not hard to pull it out and check it. less than 30min.
my temp control is kind of erratic. sometimes no or 100% heat then slowly leveling off. i wonder if its just old.

right, i think i'm in the same boat. I'll need to pull it out eventually, just don't really enjoy working on my car when it is 40 outside... thanks.

I did some work on the factory headlight covers. I could just have them welded to the header panel and forget the big plexiglass cover.
I took the car to a dyno day yesterday. 197 WHP. Sadly, it was one of the lowest HP cars that showed up. That will change when I get the engine rebuilt and the turbo on.

its almost futile to compare/compete with newer cars, especially since everyones going forced induction these days. it blows me to think that a fiesta ST can give my car a run on the street. i feel a lot more confident in the curves, but that scenario doesn't play out often.
then theres the whole how much $ do you put into a motor to NOT feel left behind and keep a 26 year old car relative hp wise. i don't DE my car and for my current driving habits, i cruise more than WOT, so i'm leaning more on rebuilding with massaging and staying NA to maintain turn-key reliability and better gas mileage. by the time i get around to it, who knows what options will be available.
fwiw, my car doesn't feel slow in real life driving compared to what the stat sheets say. but i STILL WANT MORE!

I started to replace the power steering reservoir and the hose going to the cooler loop split so now I have to fix that before I can drive it.
Fixing that hose means taking the whole thing(hose and loop) to a shop that replaces hoses that are permanently attached or buying a new hose/loop combination.
In any case, I had to pull the whole front of the car off just to remove the cooler loop(splitter, turn signals, header panel, and bumper). What a PITA!!!!

I'm curious if hi-temp re-inforced silicone hose is safe to use for power steering hose?
I finally finished running the wires and boost line for my A-pillar gauge pod.

Started getting parts for spring projects.
Front rotors/pads
Fog light bulbs
Led lights for the cluster
Random components to add USB ports and Bluetooth
March 15 winter tire law ends here and the first dry day I will drive it back to my house to start working on it.
Can't wait!!
