Just a quick question - how rare is a LSD cabrio? No affiliation but a local dealer has a nice white/black 1990 cab with 50somethingK miles going for $13.9K. I looked at the car yesterday, dealer bought it from the previous owner as a favor, yeah right.

I like your car. I like my linen interior when I get in on a hot day but I like the all black interior. It looks great. Did you repaint your valve cover? I like the way porsche is painted black.
Thanks Beer. The valve cover is powder-coated and the Porsche letters painted black. Yes, the black interior can get hot when the top is down during the summer months. During that time of year I place a beach towel over the seats and it helps.

MHR, a strut tower brace is a must do in my book. I'll post up a photo when I get it done.

Not today; however, I recently replaced the chain tensioner pads. For those that are interested, I am putting together a DIY. Stay tuned and with any luck it will be up for your reading pleasure today.

Put in a set of Sparco Evo seats. Mounted to floor without sliders gives me about an extra inch clearance.

I'm having a hard time getting to the cosmetics because my mechanical to do list is still pretty long as well.
I plan to do transmission fluid, bleed the brakes and replace brake pads this weekend. What's everyone using for both fluids and pads. I've did the search but want to see what S2 owners are using.

Steve,
Doesnt look like you got answers to your questions. Not sure on the LSD but $13.9 seems pretty high for even a cab in good shape. In all my searching I've seen a price range of $6-10k depending on condition. I paid $6,200 for mine but the maintenance (belts, seals, water pump) was due to be done. I'm also doing a suspension refresh, need a new top and other odds and ins.
It needs some attention but at least the PO kept good records.

If it is perfect inside and out leak free with ABSOLUTELY NO service needed and everything has been done including clutch, brakes, belts, tensioner, suspension, tires, seals etc with paperwork to prove it then it is worth 13.9k.

But then again half the fun is working on it
