Magnecor Spark Plug Wires
I was thinking about replacing my spark plug wires and was looking at the Magnecor wires. I asked my Porsche mechanic what he thought about the wires and he told me not to bother that they won't help in performance and that I should stay with the original Beru wires that they were specifically designed for the S2. Is this true or can anyone out there tell me different. My mechanic builds 944 racers and races so I tend to listen to what he says but I am interested in your thoughts. Thanks Charles

What mprovement are you looking for? Magnecor's are about 90 bucks, from Pelican, as well as a number of other sellers. OEM beru's are about 150 bucks. There's no such thing as a plug wire that "adds performance". That's a load of crap. If they do their job, they do their job. I bought them because they were much cheaper. They have held up very well, and I haven't found any reason not to reccomend them, especially over Beru's at 60 bucks more.
You have an S2 right? Make sure that there are no fitment issues with the boots. I had no problems AT ALL.

You can get Magnecor cables for your S2 at apexperformance.net for around $70.

I bought these plug wires for my 951. My old wires made the engine compartment look a lot prettier when the car was running and the lights were turned off ... arced to every piece of metal close by the wires.
