yes, they will fit an 89 - i have been told that 87 and later is the application
they are the metal caps, not the plastic ones - they look painted - how can i tell?
update on tread - new was 5/16"
rear is at 60% (3/16) - flat across
front is at 75% - 7/32" at the left and right - 1/4" at the center

CLOISSONE CAPS
Easy, the cloissone caps have a separate porsche shield glued onto them. The shield looks like it is made of gold and jewel like glass. Also they are clearly raised and dimensional. Painted caps that I have seen are simply that-painted on shields. There is a big difference.
Think of the cloissone caps as jewelry for your Porsche. They are beautiful!

thanks - never seen those - these are raised embossed and painted - not a shield stuck on the cap - these are the only type in metal i've ever seen - very standard, just not the black ones

Uh, Flash, those are C2 wheels not cup wheels. Go to Wheel Enhancement. com ( good people) to see a great selection of wheels. Also under accessories they show the caps I was talking about.
From your pix I believe you do have the nicer (in my opinion anyway) caps.
Cheers! Scott.

yeah - i've asked that question over on the 968 boards - none of the charts list "cup" anything, and i've only been calling them that because they do - damian said that C2 is cup 1 in another conversation where we were discussing weights - you are right though - they are C2 wheels - at this point, i think the whole "cup" thing is a misnomer

ok - so i gues the misnomer is C2T being called Cup 1 - what Wheel Enhancement is calling simply Cup has been referred to, apparantly innacurately, as Cup 2 - this was always confusing to me, because i couldn't find anything anywhere that listed Cup 2
the site has improved nicely
