On Stock rims
front 7's: 225x50/16 rear 8's: 245x45/16 Much larger and you get too much round over and rub, with out lots of camber. I have heard of 255's on the car but that is with 9's.
Same size front and rear?
Yes, 245x45/16 but on 8's at all four. You can run 225x50/16's on all four but don't want to rotate the fronts to the rear. The main reason for the same size all around is to facilitate even ware by being able to rotate the tires to any position. 225's on the front will improve sick but the side wall height and overlap may cause the car to feel numb or less responsive.
With wider tires up front you will get more tramlining and more kick back.

For street use the stock sizes work well and are the most cost effective.
