I got a flex plate/damper off Yahoo auction here in Japan. Part looked good enough p/n 477 521 603. through the starter hole it looks different, the one in there having an aluminum rim. I checked the p/n on Performance Part it says that p/n fits 924 to 83. Pelicans website says it fits 924s and 944s 83-88.

Anyone with some insight?

Porsche Parts & Technical Reference Catalog says rubber/metal 'damper' p/n 477 521 603 is for 924 m/y ‘77-‘82 and 944 116 065 02 is for 924S & 944 m/y ‘83-‘89. Different engines so I'm guessing the flywheels are different and doubtful if it you can use it. (btw...the rubber 'damper' is the part at the front of the drive shaft while the 'flex plate' is at the rear and connects to the torque converter)

Thanks. I already got the bad news when I removed the broken on. Now I am trying to find the cheapest one. Actually it looks like the part number supercedes to ---065-04
Do you know anyone who wants 477-521-603?
