Talking Hi, new here...

Hi, I have an old '83 944 and I'm currently going to be upgrading it as much as I can. My mother was the original owner, and it was passed down to me. So I'm looking for any type of advise you can give me for improving the performance and overall "goodness" of my 944. Any suggestions would be awesome. I'm already looking into a short shift kit and a clutch kit, but I can't find a clutch kit for the 944 N/A.

Another thing, I want to eventually race a 944, and I'm deciding whether to buy a 944 turbo to race, or to race this one... which would be better and easier to upgrade?

Any help would be awesome, thanks so much!

Post over in the watercooled, 924-44-68 board, it gets a lot more traffic. I am not sure why this board is even open anymore. Welcome to the board. Clutches are not an easy undertaking in these cars, i think your car is something like 18 hours labor or so to remove and replace. Most people dont replace them until they are shot.
